My name is Ricky Nieves. I played for Charlie Morales) with the Ponce Raiders from 1984-1987. If anyone has pics from that time I would love to see them.We represented our time and Island very well. We played in the Dominican Republic a few times & they also played us in Ponce. Im glad to see that Football is alive and well, however saddened to see that it is no longer played in Ponce. We had some good teams back then.

Carlito #72 wat up rafa!!! i play in the ft.buchanan PIRATES i played in the 05-06-07-08 undefeated seasons and will play in the 09 season...i have been around high school football in puerto rico all my life because of my brother, he was a player in Buchanan PIRATES in 99-00-01 and in the undefeated 02 season!!! this year all team have great player, this season promisies have the greatess games in a long time.i hope this year season bring back a lil old school hard ball!!!
edgar "eggie" pinero Hi to all fans of the game of football in Puerto Rico. Kudos to all who put together this awesome website. Like it was mentioned previously, it really hits home when one sees faces of alumnis and players one grew up with. I played for the University Gardens High School Vikings during the 76-77 year and was honored by the league with having been selected the MVP. The presentation of the award by the league president, Mr. Benitez, was very special and one that I will never forget. It took place in a restaurant somewhere in San Juan. The exact location slips my mind. It's been a few years since....I was hoping someone would have access to historical pictures and may be able to produce a copy. Anyways, keep up the good work and may long live the sport of football on "the island of enchantment". Godspeed
